1. Project brief and acceptance
The written quote or order summary identifies the requested song, shape, intended use, deliverables, price and estimated schedule. A standard $12 custom listing is accepted after payment is completed. Larger or unusual projects may instead require a written quote and deposit. The client confirms that names, dates, lyrics, spelling and other supplied information are accurate.
2. Payment
The standard custom guitar, piano and cassette listing is $12 USD and is paid in full before design work begins. Once work begins, custom digital work is final and non-refundable because it is made for the client. Larger, rush, or out-of-scope projects require a separate written quote; those projects normally require a 50% upfront deposit.
3. Included revisions
Two revision rounds are included. A revision round means one consolidated list of reasonable changes to the presented concept. New directions, a different song or shape, piecemeal feedback, or changes requested after approval are additional work and will be quoted before proceeding.
4. Feedback and timeline
Estimated dates begin after payment and a complete project brief are received. The client should provide consolidated feedback within 7 calendar days of each proof. Late feedback shifts delivery dates. Projects inactive for 30 days may be closed; restarting depends on availability and may require a new scheduling fee.
Musical Word Art will communicate material delays, but is not responsible for delays caused by incomplete information, late feedback, third-party services or events beyond reasonable control.
5. Approval and delivery
Approval confirms that the client has reviewed spelling, layout and content. Final files are delivered in the formats listed in the quote. Minor technical corrections to match the approved proof are included; creative changes after approval are billable.
6. Rights and portfolio use
Copyright remains with Musical Word Art. After full payment, the client receives the license stated in the quote. Personal-use pricing does not include commercial production. Unless confidentiality is agreed in writing before work begins, Musical Word Art may display the finished work in its portfolio, website and social media.
7. Client-supplied material
The client represents that they have permission to provide and use any photographs, logos, text or other material supplied for the project and agrees to be responsible for third-party claims arising from that material. Musical Word Art may decline content that is unlawful, hateful, infringing or inconsistent with the studio.
8. Cancellation
Cancellation must be sent in writing. Before work begins, a standard custom order may be cancelled and refunded. After work begins, custom digital work is final. If Musical Word Art cancels, it will refund the payment for work not delivered.
