Privacy policy

Musical Word Art collects only the information needed to operate the shop, deliver purchases, prevent abuse and send emails people actively request.

1. Information collected

  • Contact information you provide, such as an email address and custom-project details.
  • Order information, including purchased designs, transaction identifiers, amount, status and delivery activity.
  • Marketing-consent records, subscription status and consent date.
  • Basic technical and security information automatically processed by the website host and payment systems, such as IP address, browser data and request logs.

Musical Word Art does not receive or store your full PayPal password, card number or bank credentials.

2. How information is used

  • Process payments and provide private digital downloads.
  • Respond to support, licensing and commission requests.
  • Apply collection pricing and prevent fraudulent use.
  • Maintain security, diagnose failures and protect legal rights.
  • Send new-release, product and promotional emails only when valid consent or another lawful permission applies.
  • Meet accounting, tax, legal and consumer-protection duties.

3. The Encore List and email marketing

Subscription is optional and separate from purchasing. The signup box requires an affirmative choice and records when consent was given. Subscribers may withdraw consent at any time through the unsubscribe link in a marketing email or by contacting marketing@musicalwordart.com. Unsubscribing does not affect transactional messages needed to deliver or support a purchase.

Musical Word Art does not sell email addresses. A suppression record may be retained after unsubscribe so the preference can be respected.

4. Services that process information

Information is shared only as reasonably necessary with service providers operating the shop: Railway for website, API and database hosting; PayPal for payments; Google Drive for protected file storage and delivery; Zoho for business email; and technical providers needed for security or communications. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy obligations.

5. Cookies and local storage

The current storefront does not use behavioral advertising cookies. It uses browser storage to remember your cart and analytics privacy choice on your device. An optional passwordless customer library uses a secure, HTTP-only session cookie after a one-time email sign-in. PayPal may use security or checkout technologies necessary to process and protect transactions.

6. First-party visit analytics

To understand which designs and pages are useful, the site records first-party visit information including pages viewed, referral source, approximate active time, browser information and a partially masked IP address. The final portion of an IP address is removed before it is stored. The data is not used for cross-site advertising and is not sold. First-party analytics begins only after a visitor selects “Allow analytics.” Visitors may change that choice by clearing this site’s browser storage. Browsers that send a Do Not Track signal are not recorded by this analytics system.

7. Retention and security

Order records are retained as needed for delivery, accounting, disputes, fraud prevention and legal obligations. Marketing records are retained while a subscription is active and afterward only as needed to honor opt-outs or meet legal duties. Logs and expired download tokens are kept only as long as reasonably necessary.

Safeguards include encrypted connections, limited-origin APIs, rate-limiting, security headers, private download tokens, restricted Google Drive access and secrets stored outside the public codebase. No online system can promise absolute security.

8. International processing and your rights

Providers may process information in countries different from yours. Appropriate contractual and technical protections are used where required. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information, and to withdraw marketing consent.

Send a request to support@musicalwordart.com. Identity may be verified before sensitive information is released. You may also complain to the data-protection authority where you live.

9. Children and changes

The shop is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information. This policy may be updated as services or laws change. Material changes will be shown through a revised effective date and, when appropriate, an additional notice.
